Changes to Blogger's Google Friend Connect

Blogger has made some big changes to
 how we follow blogs
so read on to see
if these new rules will affect you!

We announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.

As part of the plan starting the week of Jan.11th, 2016 we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.

We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.

We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

Now we will have to wait and see how it will affect
us and our followers
as of 11th January, 2016

I'm  currently working on a new
Vintage Bird Journal
recently commissioned so I will be able to share
this with you soon!
Have a lovely weekend one and all
and
thank you to my new Followers
and to everyone who has left me a comment on my last post!
Thank you so very much!

Simply Neutrals Tuesdays now Fortnightly

How quickly has this event come around for the
New Year.
So this will be our first party for 2016
where bloggers can come together to share
all of their favourite images of those things they most love
in shades of neutrals - inc. white, creams, beige,
greys and browns or blacks.
and
has kindly agreed to continue as our host for which we
are all most grateful.

In keeping with the theme of love and gratitude
I'm sharing a few very beautiful
handmade Christmas Cards

which have all been
created by different blogging friends
for me this Christmas.

 Christmas has many themes

and these are just a few individual expressions

 of what Christmas represents

to each one of these women.

 They are all beautiful because

they came from friends who
put part of themselves into creating these for me
and
I am so very grateful for each one!
The gifts which came were amazing too but often these
gorgeous cards with the words expressed
become keepsakes in themselves!

To all of my blogging friends I have
this wish

Wishing you all too a most wonderful New Year
in all of your adventures with much
peace and contentment in your hearts!

Thank you all so very much for you continued support
throughout the year with your visits and
kind comments as well as the inspiration you have given me
and the wonderful friendships created too.  They all
